Went back to school today, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Sure, I failed tests in two of my classes, forgot my history homework, and fell asleep during the video in second hour, but nonetheless I enjoyed myself.
It's absolutely ridiculous how fantastic someone telling me that they enjoyed something stupid I did/said/made can make me feel.
Oh, and thank you so much for the shirt Jessie, you're fabulous! Your scarf is coming to school TOMORROW. I swear.

I have had the best past few days ever. I haven't updated in a while because Livejournal is stupid and hates me, so I'll do this thang day by day.
Thursday: SNOWDAY!/Claire's birthday! both huge, momentous occasions, so I went sledding with Sarah and Jessie, and then to Claire's house. Sarah, Jessie and I were definitely the coolest kids on the hill except for the boy with the SLED BIKE. He just beats me by so much. I want a sled bike so badly... Jessie had the coolest vintage snowgear ever, and Sarah had this totally amazing fold out sled that seated three. A little gorilla girl jumped out of the snow and killed my nose, but that's not important. We had taco bell, and it was awesome. I then headed over to Claire's, and watched Garden State with Claire and Julie. Fantastic day.
Friday: Whole lot of nothing, really. Just sort of sat around, did the whole school thing, listened to Jeff Buckley and felt stupid.
Today!: Claire's birthday celebration... too bad nobody called the ice rink to find out if there even WAS free skates on saturdays. There isn't. So we went to Applebys, which is the worst restaurant in the history of ever. Jason, Sarah, Jessie M, Claire, Amy, Alex, Andrea and I probably caused so much work for the poor waitress, but we left a sixteen-dollar tip to make up for it. All of us except for Jessie and Sarah headed back to my house (how we fit that many in the flippin' volvo is totally beyond me, but we did) and sat around, watching stupid movies and talking about nothing. All in all, a totally awesome night.

today was rather awesome, I got to see Jessie, Aaron and Scott (all of whom I hadnt seen all break) and of course, Julie and early this morning, Amy. Plus, Laura, who I knew in third grade, which was pretty awesome. We went glow putt putting (total acid trip) and then aaron, scott, laura, julie and I went to my house and sat around. Jessie is so totally absolutely great!

I am absolutely postitively DONE cleaning my room. Nine trash bags full of STUFF - papers, clothing, scraps of fabric, and other such bits and pieces of STUFF - are now out of my room, and on the garage. It took me three hours to sort through the letters and photos and a year's worth of memories and thoughts and writing, and finally get my stupid room in shape to start 2005. Every year I let a year's worth of stuff build up, and every stupid year I have to go through and completely clean it out so there's room for another year. And every year I spend the day before Christmas eve putting all of the worthwhile things I find into books and photo albums and folders, so I can keep track of the places I've been and the things I've done, who I loved, and everything else. Maybe it's hopeless to try and archive all of this, maybe I'm trying to cling to all these good years so when I'm old and I have a bad perm and slippers that I stole from some hotel and an ugly flowered robe,my saggy face will be stretched out with a smile as I look through the times when I was young and everything was as wonderful as it is right now, but I suppose it's worth a try.

I'm finally on break, and quite possibly had the least productive (and most fun) day I've had in a while. In first hour, we actually took a quiz, which was awful, but for the rest of the day I sat around and did nothing. In Japanese, I made a new years card featuring David Hasselhoff in a speedo wishing the world a happy new year. It was awesome. We had our holiday lunch in lifeguarding, and I brought green bean casserole. It was soooooo good. one kid brought a flippin TURKEY. good good stuff. Orchestra was spent skipping class and wandering around the school, eating marshmallows. Mr Tolias caught Sarah and I eating marshmallows on a bench by the doors, so we had to go back to class, but it was fun anyway. Julie got me totally awesome presents, a zip-up sweatshirt (that she made herself) with ROBOTS in the hood and this eyeliner by urban decay called "Heavy metal MULLET"!!! it's so awesome, I think I'm in love.
Yay for non-denominational gift giving month!!!

Well I definitely saw the boy I quite recently broke up with at the store with his father today. I pretended not to see them, mostly cause of the immense awkward factor. Plus, I just didn't want to talk to him.
Thank moses for moving on quickly. I can't understand anyone who dwells upon high school romantic endeavors after they're over.

Didn't go to school today cause I felt super gross. Good thing, too, because if I had seen stupid film club invaders, I might have gone crazy. Thursday, I arrive at film club, feeling fine, and all of a sudden I see these kids I absolutely cannot stand. I dont want to be a jerk, but they're the kind of people who should really not be allowed to breed*. We watch the movie, and at the end we're asked to comment. One of the kids, who happens to be the loudest, most obnoxious of the bunch, will not shut up about "OH MY GOD IT WAS SO TRIPPY! WHAT A STRANGE TRIP! THE DIRECTOR WAS ON SHROOMS! I DIDNT GET WHAT WAS HAPPENING! IT WAS JUST TOO TRIPPY!" and cutting everyone off when she said this. People would try to say something, and "OHMYGODSOTRIPPYBLAAAAHBLAAAAAAHBLAAAAAH" when damn it, it wasnt that bad. Sure, it had its moments, but jeesum crow it wasnt necessary for all of that carrying on to happen. Plus she's a troll, in general. Even our advisor-guy got mad at her and told her that she wasnt acting the way we do in film club, which made me think he was less of a bald weirdo. He's still a bald weirdo, but less so.
Otherwise, I'm pretty happy. Sat around and read Dharma Bums and listened to David Bowie all day. Good stuff.
*Amy and I had a conversation about this. People who want to breed need to take a test qualifying them to do so, and if they fail they never ever get to have children. People who are failures, or people who havent yet taken it, get put on birth control. Really, really effective birth control.

I haven't had a real, long, interesting entry in a really really long time. For the past forever they've been stupid, two line things about my mood. Well, this is where that stops. Prepare yourself for the entry to pwn all entries.
First off: Thanksgiving.
Most boring holiday ever. I spent the entire day reading and re-reading the book we were recently assigned in English. It's a good book and everything, but it's immensely depressing. I can't think of the title at the moment, and I'm far too lazy to walk up the thirteen or fourteen stairs required to reach my bedroom, then look at the book, and come down them again. It's something about the genocide of Armenians by the turks in the early 1900s. It's somewhat interesting. However, not enough to keep me occupied for the nine or so hours on thursday during which I wasnt doing anything worth mentioning.
Freitag:
Went to CJ's for "band practice". this consisted of CJ and I sitting in his basement, playing AC/DC and Sweet on our guitars and helping his father move a table. It wasnt too bad though, and it turns out old CJ can actually play the guitar. Which I was convinced that he was a liar and absolutely could not. Post guitarfest '04, I headed over to Le Claire's, where I spent the night. We watched Almost Famous, Army of Darkness, and Evita. Her brother built an igloo. It wasn't as cool as one would think it would be. We also watched Conan O Brien, which I hadn't done in a while. I love conan. He's my hero.
Today:
I woke up on Claire's floor, went home, and showered. Nothing is nicer than a shower in your own home after spending the last 20 or so hours in other peoples houses. Post-showertime, Jon and I went to music-go-round to sell some of his old cymbals and drum pedals. He got about $150 for them, which I suppose isnt bad for the fact he stole half of what he sold from the band room when he was in high school. We then journeyed over to Guitar Center, where he bought a new bass drum pedal. I sat around for about a half an hour playing bass guitars that are about 20 thousand times nicer than the one I have. Then, a swarm of emo kids invaded the area in which I was sitting and proceeded to play saves the day or taking back sunday or something to that effect with the store's guitars, and I had to remove myself. We then came home, and I spent the rest of the day napping. Unfortunately, that means I'll be awake for the next eight or so hours. I have no car, no way of getting anywhere, far too much energy, and nothing to do.
I think I might just be screwed.
